kinfolk toolkit
We don’t need tougher leaders, we need better systems.
The Kinfolk Toolkit is a curated list of the platforms and resources I use to build businesses that don’t burn us out. These are tools I trust, teach, and stand behind. Some links are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you choose to use them.
booking software
BLVD
Most salon owners don’t have a revenue problem. they have a visibility problem.
BLVD gives you real-time data on productivity, retention, and pre-booking so you can make strategic decisions instead of emotional ones. It supports a seamless client experience while giving your team the structure they need to succeed. If you’re serious about scaling with clarity, this is the platform I trust.

financial systems
quickbooks
Money stress is one of the fastest paths to burnout. QuickBooks gives you a clean, integrated system to track income, expenses, payroll, and cash flow without spreadsheets scattered everywhere.
With real-time bank syncing and clear reporting, you can see where your business stands and make grounded decisions instead of reactive ones.
operations
google workspace
google docs, sheets, and forms are all google workspace apps that I use regularly in my businesses. from creating documents, to tracking key metrics, to cash flow planning to getting feedback from employees and clients, google workspace allows me and my clients to run sustainable businesses from one simple place.
notion
Most business owners don’t need more ideas, they need structure. Notion is the digital command center I use to build client portals, house SOPs, track projects, and map long-term strategy. It replaces scattered Google Docs and endless email threads with one centralized system. If you’re serious about creating operational clarity, this is where your systems live.

marketing & growth
hootsuite
this is the platform that allows me to spend less time on social media and more time on what matters. Hootsuite gives you a centralized place to plan, schedule, and analyze your content across platforms so your marketing stays visible even when you’re focused on serving clients. If you want sustainable growth, your content needs structure, not last-minute energy.
wix
Most founders delay building a real website because they think it has to be complicated. It doesn’t. Wix makes it possible to launch quickly with intuitive design tools, while still offering advanced features like booking integrations, blogs, client portals, and e-commerce as you grow. It’s a platform that meets you where you are and scales with your ambition.
canva
Canva makes it possible to create polished, on-brand marketing materials, presentations, and client resources in minutes, not days.
Whether you’re building social content or structured program PDFs, this is the tool that helps you look as professional as you are.
zach kozdron graphic art
canva is a tool, a skilled graphic designer is a strategy. i've worked with zach kozdron graphic art on two of my large business projects. from logo design, to website design, to strategizing how to leverage marketing into conversions- zach walks alongside you bringing tools, strategy and systems that help your business grow.

product lines
clients ask me all of the time: "what are your favorite product lines that you've had in your salons & spas?"
Explore the list here:
epicuren discovery
I first experienced Epicuren during a facial at the luxury spa in florida. Midway through the treatment, the therapist massaged my arms with the Orange Blossom After Bath lotion and I remember asking, what is this? It smelled like sunshine and citrus and warmth. It felt elegant without being heavy. I was hooked.
What started as a personal love turned into a professional relationship. I carried Epicuren in my own salon and used it in the treatment room for years. It’s one of those lines that bridges results and ritual beautifully; enzyme-based technology, thoughtful botanical formulations, and textures that feel luxurious without being fussy.
I’ve always believed skincare should feel like care, not just correction. Epicuren does that well. It performs, but it also feels good in the hands and on the skin, which matters more than most people realize.
If you’re building a treatment menu, refining your retail shelves, or simply want skincare that feels elevated and effective, this is a brand I’ve trusted personally and professionally for years.
Botnia
i discovered botnia when i first opened my holistic skincare studio in Northern california. I was searching for a skincare line that could meet my guests' skin in the moment.
it was important to me to work with a company that valued education, holistic esthetics and organic formulations. This led me to botnia.
based in sausalito, california, botnia not only has their own micro-farm but they work with other sustainable farms procuring small batch botanicals that create an apothecary-style backbar. this way, you are able to custom mix and formulate each product for each step in the service cycle. Because skincare is never one-size-fits all. if that's not enticing enough, many of their retail products are customizable with your backbar as well.
their education platform, monthly esthetician meet-ups and ongoing support from their brilliant team truly sets botnia apart from most skincare lines.
